The Five Stations visited in Mount Banahaw

Gate of Heaven

This is the first station that we visited before we climb the mountain. This is a gate that will lead you to the place of the 'Rizalistas' and to their big churches. The design of the gate is from their beliefs and religion.

Cross

We went next to the Kalbaryo. They call it Kalbaryo because you will face a lot of sufferings before you reach the point where the 3 crosses stand. Beside Mt.Banahaw, you will see the Mt.Cristobal or what they call "The Devil's Mountain".

Husgado Cave

We went next to the Husgado Cave. This is the cave that tests your faith and trust in yourself. It is a narrow cave and you need to get through it. They believe that if you get through the cave without any scars or wound, it means that your sins are forgiven for 7 years. But if you have many scars, you are a sinner.

Book of Life

The 'Book of Life' represents the book of Saint Peter, they believe that the people written in this book will enter the Kingdom of Heaven. People write their names using their fingers on the stone for they believe that they will be able to enter the Kingdom of Heaven.

River

Lastly, we went to the river. It is a miraculous river and it symbolizes the Jordan River; the river wherein Jesus was baptized. The water rushing through the river is as cold as ice and they say that it also heals different kinds of diseases. There are two waterfalls nearby: 'Balbas ng Ama' and 'Buhok ng Ina'.
